Thursday = accomplishment!

Wow! I finally feel like I've had a productive day. With my new work, and it's funky schedule. Three days a week I feel like I can get nothing accomplished. However today I accomplished a lot! Got my taxes done, grocery shopping done, and I am attempting to clean the downstairs of my home! What should be done by 6 PM. Then it will be time for a happy hour and homework.

Of course I did squeeze in a little fun today too. I went down to see Megan and the gang. Looking forward to our Friday night out! 

Thanks to my friends who stay true and steady. You are few. But you never leave my side... 

Courage

It takes courage to have tough conversations.  Whether in person or over email.  Yesterday I had to be courageous and put my feelings out there.  Knowing full well that the answer I get, when I get it, may not be the answer I want.  But you never know.  Maybe I will get an answer that is good.

But in the end I put myself out there.  I had courage to say how I felt.  I had what I call a tough conversation. I deserve much happiness in my life.  I am an amazing women with lots to offer.  And I am cute!  LOL  

Now more courage...  Not that lots will be needed...But I am off to court to OFFICIALLY change my name!!!!  OVERBY here I come!!!  I will be celebrating this weekend in San Diego with my BFF Jodi and her family.  Her hubby, Chris Linder a professional rock climber now engineer, will take the boys out climbing and surfing!!!  My kids couldn't be more stoked!!! I am looking forward to building sand castles and just hanging out on the beach!

A big thank you to my friend and Neighbor Amy!  She is watching my kiddos for me today while I head to court.  She is an awesome lady and has been a huge blessing to me!

Vacation - first few days

Love love being back in MN. Got on the road to Harmony at 12:45 am on Friday morning. Rolled into the farm at 3 something....got a few hours of sleep and headed to Hokah for my friend Anne's wedding.

Just a few shots with me and my BFF's.  It was an amazing time and I am so fortunate that I was able to be home for her special day! 

Saturday I made it home by lunh to find my kids very well entertained on the farm.     They had climbed hay bails, bunny hunted, had a fire and were having a great time! 

Chris and Derrick rolled in in the afternoon. Boys were excited to have cousins to play with. 

Sunday CH and DH ran their marathon relay. They finished 9th I think out of over 100 teams. They came back and we helped dad fiddle with the boat . Oh and we grilled steaks! Yummo! I was hoping to head out for my buddy Lakins 2nd birthday party, but Jacob had a hard day and ended up with a not so good tummy so weisswd it :( . Everyone went to bed early and therefor woke their mama up waaaaay to early. 

Now I think I'm going to head out for a walk. Enjoy the nice MN morning...

My very good my friend Michelle from Sioux Falls South Dakota, will be coming into town spur the moment for a business trip. I'm excited that I get to pick her up from the airport and spend the evening with her! To top it off I even get to stay at the Butes.  yay me! It will be just what I needed. We will be able to laugh and have a great time over a bottle of wine!

Demanding Friends, Taylor Sweet Sixteen

This is for Sara L…. Didn’t think many people read this blog.. But since she DEMANDS and entry… Here you go!!!! (Deep down thanks for motivating me)

First –

HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN TAYLOR!!!!!!! I hope your day is fill with much love and happiness. (We will be posting a pictures of the roses we got her along with the balloons Jackson picked out when I get home…) I can Hardly believe that she is 16…. Thank goodness we are not allowing her to get her drivers license…. EVERYONE YOU ARE SAFE!!!! Until she moves to SD. Then watch out, because I think she will get her license there..

Friday is our big party at Amazing Jakes…(Geez my copier keeps Jamming… I’ll be back…) Ok I am back…. So the party should be good. We will have ALL the grandmas here as well as our good friends the Castertons. So we should be able to have a good time..

As for me and my job search well its going… I spent 2 weeks in MN to unwind, which I needed to badly. My brain was fried and my stress was high. But a massage before I left and being surrounded by Family was good. I ended up at my sister Sarah’s most of the time. I got to babysit her kids for a week. We all had a good time and Jackson loved playing trains with his cousins!! I cam back to AZ to work my contract job, which is ok. Pretty boring but it pays the bills for now. I have an interview today with a recruiter, so those are always fun. But a real promising interview tomorrow and one other great lead from one of Jamie’s friends. That job is close to Jackson’s daycare so you can’t go wrong with that!!!! I am praying that one will pan out the best.

Other than that, I am enjoying some time with my mom. Writing my blog for my DEMANDING friend Sara. (However, its good to know you are reading it!!!) and going to get back into scrapping. That is thanks to my friend Nancy (from church)! We had a great time scrapping last Saturday night. Oh and loving a new drink called an Apple Tini (Thanks Kim, My neighbor and friend who has gotten me addicted to those! Can’t wait for eggs rolls and clue on Monday!)


I will fill you all in on my interviews and let you know how they go. Please pray for me that I find a job soon.

Well On Sunday a good friend of our arrived from Hawaii. We were so excited to see him. We have had some serious fun!! On Monday he slept in until like 2 pm!!! But it was worth it for me. When I arrived home from work, he and Jamie had headed to the grocery store and make me and the kids an amazing dinner!! This salad he made was to die for!!! I could have eaten the whole bowl!!!

Then they made Beef Shicskabobs (Ok I can’t spell), grilled zucchini, grilled egg plant and it was all so wonderful! Fresh herbs garlic and lots of other spices!! I get hungry just thinking about it.

Then last night while Jamie was his photography meeting, Mark took me out for dinner. I put Jackson to bed and then we headed out to BWW!!! My all time favorite place. We had beer and wings. We chatted and had just a grand old time. It was really nice for me to get out and just be an adult for a split moment. It was nice.

So thank you Mark! I truly appreciated my time out last night and the wonderful company! I so hope to come out to Hawaii soon to see you and Jeanie. Safe travels and I hope you and Jamie have a wonderful time in Vegas today! I hope you see your friend Miranda!
